Astros starter Ronel Blanco faces a possible ten-game suspension for a foreign substance infraction. Blanco was ejected at the start of the fourth inning of Tuesday night's game against the Oakland Athletics after a foreign substance check. The third base umpire ejected Blanco and confiscated his glove. In three scoreless innings on Tuesday, Blanco struck out one and allowed four hits. The Astros were up 1-0 when Tayler Scott replaced him. The league started cracking down on foreign substances in 2021.
